The Congregation Beth Shalom Early Childhood Department is a full service child care center and preschool that offers a safe, nurturing, Jewish values-based environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. We offer fully equipped modern facilities, highly trained staff, favorable adult to child ratios, and individualized care tailored to fit the particular needs of each and every infant and child.

Our child care center provides a secure, warm setting for infants and children throughout the day, year round. Our infants are nurtured by an attentive staff in our fully equipped, cheerfully decorated new nurseries. Our children make new friendships and grow socially as they learn to assert their independence while respecting their peers. All of our infants and children are valued, respected, and appreciated for their individual differences and needs.

Our students, ages 14 months to pre-kindergarten, learn invaluable social skills and get a jump start in a wide curriculum including science, computers, language arts, music and movement, and gym. They gain a sense of pride in their heritage as they experience Jewish customs and celebrations each day through stories, art, music, and prayer. Our preschool is fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is accredited by the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and has a "4 out of 4" STARS Rating from the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS Program..
