Beth Shalom Preschool is designed for children ages 14 months to pre-kindergarten. Classes run from September through June and continue during the summer months with Camp Gan Shalom. Full day child care is available year round for preschool students.

Our goal is to provide a nurturing environment where children are valued, respected and appreciated for their individual differences and our instilled with a pride in their Jewish heritage. Our students are encouraged to assert their independence while respecting their peers, thereby developing both a love for learning and invaluable social skills. Our dedicated teachers are trained in both early childhood education and Judaica, and many have been with us since our inception.

At Beth Shalom Preschool, children experience Jewish customs and celebrations on a regular basis, exploring Jewish heritage through stories, art, music and prayer.  Holiday celebrations are emphasized through special programming and Shabbat is celebrated every Friday.  In addition, our curriculum includes science, computers, language arts, music and movement, and gym.

Beth Shalom Preschool is fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Our adult/student ratio is well above the state requirements and we are accredited by the National Association for Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The preschool has  earned a 4 out of 4 stars rating in the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS program and the Excellence in Nursery School Education Award from the Solomon Schechter Schools.
